The name NOOMA is an English phonetic spelling of the Greek word pneuma, which is commonly translated to “spirit” or “breath”. Pneumatology refers to the study of spiritual beings, particularly the interactions between humans and God. Many of you are familiar with the Nooma videos. They are basically short videos, that have great illustrations using every day activities or stories that have a christian meaning which is revealed throughout the video.
Matthew 28:20 "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." This verse teaches us that God is always with us and will never leave us through any times of struggle. Joh 10:28-29; 13:1; Ro 8:35-39) are just some more verses where God ensures us of his love, and tells us that there is no power under the sun that can take that love away. Sometimes we often wander why God allows things to happen to us. We call these times in our life, storms. We have no idea why these storms occur or even where they come from, It is then that we begin to question whether or not God really loves us like he says he does. We hear people say all the time, "If God was such a loving God, he wouldn't allow this type of thing to happen." Look at the whole story of Job, he had everything taken from him. Everyone told him to blame God, even his wife, but he stayed strong in his faith. Have we ever stopped to think, that God allows stuff to happen to us in which we have no control over, so that he can just wrap his arms around us and say I LOVE YOU SON/DAUGHTER!!! It happens all the time. Something bad happens, and the first thing we do is jump Gods case about it, when all he may want to do is use to let us know that he is here for us. I want you to keep that in mind as you watch this NOOMA video entitled Rain. ( To watch the video, just scroll to the bottom of the page and click the nooma link, the one second from the left, it has a little green bar across the bottom and it will play the video at the top of the page)
